Diana Poulson, M.A.
Diana Poulson, M.A. is a licensed marriage and family therapist and educator. She is also the former wife of a Vietnam Veteran, the daughter of a Navy veteran and granddaughter of a WWII Army veteran. Diana has been teaching Sociology at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1994, teaches in the graduate Counseling Psychology program at The University of San Francisco and authored an introductory course in equine therapy offered through the Zur Institute.
Casey Derrick, B.S.
Casey Derrick, B.S. is an experienced horse handler and riding instructor. She has a BS in Equine Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and 20+ years of riding experience including the disciplines Hunter Jumper, Dressage and Polo. Having grown up with horses, Casey has a keen ability to communicate both with horse and human.
Rueben G Collins
Rueben G Collins is a disabled Gulf War 1 Navy Veteran who specialized in Inland and Maritime Rescue Operations. After a short but successful career in the Defense Industry, and a major cervical spine reconstruction surgery, he began to pursue educational goals at Santa Rosa Junior College. It was there that he met Diana and was introduced to the wonderful world of equine therapy. The rest as they say is history. Rueben was the inspiration for creating Horses Building Communities.
